Find the Noobsi Characters Update: 20 Characters and More

A few weeks back I shared that Roc had built his first Roblox game. What started as a search-and-find with the character bases from the book has grown into something quite a bit bigger. And he’s done almost all of it on his own.

The game is now called Find the Noobsi Characters UPDATE — an experience built around exploration, secrets, and collecting. The goal is the same as before: walk the map, look in every corner, find all the hidden characters. What’s changed is everything around it.

20 characters and a progress index

The game now has 20 characters to find, each with its own rarity, its own hint, and its own special spot in the world. Some are close to the main path. Others require completing challenges, investigating specific areas, or coming back later with new abilities.

To keep track there’s a character index where you can review your progress, hints, rarities, and the status of each find. It’s the easy way to know what you’re missing without having to remember it all.

Rebirths: start over with rewards

Rebirths are one of the biggest additions. Once you complete the available index, you can rebirth to start a new run with extra rewards: useful tools to explore the map better, and access to content that was locked the first time around.

Some advanced content shows up clearly marked as locked until the right rebirth. The idea isn’t to hide anything — it’s to point out there’s something waiting for you down the line.

Maze, secret lab, and obby

The update adds three areas with their own personality:

• A large covered maze, designed to be explored from the inside, with subtle notes on the walls and a reward for completing it.
• A secret lab tied to a special mission and to advanced exploration mechanics.
• An obby with its own character and reward, for players who enjoy platforming challenges.

On top of that, there’s the Tiny Quest, a mission unlocked at rebirth 3 that opens up a new way to reach small, hidden places.

No spoilers, at your own pace

The update is built so every player can discover the map their own way. Some hints are direct, others more mysterious. Some areas are designed to make you go: “wait, there has to be something here.”

The maze, the lab, and the special missions exist to reward curiosity. You don’t need to know everything from the start — the fun is in exploring, trying things, hitting rebirth, and looking at the map with new eyes.

The little things that matter

Roc also took care of the details you notice while playing:

• Physical leaderboards near spawn with rankings for rebirths, playtime, and how fast you complete the index.
• Music and settings from the UI, accessible from the main menu.
• A back-to-spawn button to jump back to the start fast.
• A group room for players who support the project and visit the official community.

Find the Noobsi Characters is still free on Roblox. If your kid has read the book, they’ll love spotting the characters across the new map. And if they haven’t read it yet, this update is a good excuse to start with the characters section of the book.

Roc is 9. A few months ago he was watching tutorials to figure out how scripts work. Now he has a game with rebirths, mazes, and secret missions that he keeps updating on his own. Still self-taught, still gets stuck, still works through it with trial and error.
